YetepOWSLA, Skrillex’ iconic imprint founded in 2011, is one of the most innovative and groundbreaking labels releasing music right now. The collection of artists are some of the most forward-thinking in the industry. Chris Lake said “I feel like they’re(OWSLA) absolutely at the peak of their game. I don’t think there’s anyone else putting as much attention to detail.” Chris Lake has also been on a high lately since the release of his track “Operator (Ring Ring)” hit big at the end of last year. It’s no surprise Skrillex gave him a call to collaborate on his next project, a futuristic house compilation album, HOWSLA.
Chris Lake – I Want You
Chris Lake released the first track off of its upcoming HOWSLA compilation album. The track, “I Want You,” serves as a follow-up to “Operator” and opens with a bit of the catchy tune. It has an infectious beat and is accompanied by a creepy cool music video featuring dancing corpses that screams of OWSLA production. “I Want You” is just the beginning of what is sure to be a very impressive tracklist with a diverse cast of artists. Chris said,
“We just wanted the coolest shit on this album, the stuff that we felt was very 2017 and beyond. No looking back, completely looking forward.. There are artists on there that are supremely talented.. the artists that will be shaping the sound of house music in America and then beyond for the next few years.”
OWSLA’s upcoming HOWSLA compilation will be released on May 5, 2017. We’re hoping for a few more singles along the way!
