Rezz Just Announced Her Debut Album–Here’s What We Know

Rezz, the prolific Canadian producer and DJ,has gained quite the following with her modern twist to the sinister dark realm of music we call techno. Her Something Wrong Here EP was an irresistible success, as well as her edgy collab with newcomer k?d, “Fourth Impact.” Clearly Rezz has been hard at work in the studio because she just announced her debut full-length album.

The album, titled Mass Manipulation, is set for release next month on August 4th. It will be released via Deadmau5‘s mau5trap imprint, which is no surprise considering how closely she’s worked with the label thus far. It’s an 8-track album with several collaborations that we can’t wait to hear. Mass Manipulation sees Rezz double down on the unique, bass-laden and edgy minimal sound that she has made her own. The album ebbs and flows through Rezz’s intricate grasp of electronic instrumentals, supplying a succession of mind-bending and hypnotic works that invoke other-worldly thoughts, explicitly implied by the album’s title.

As if this announcement is exciting enough, Rezz has also announced she’ll be releasing a single track from the album every Friday in July until it’s release. This Friday she’s kicking it off with “Relax” and its accompanying music video so mark your calendars.

Over the last two years, at just 22-years of age,  she’s toured the festival circuit bringing her unique brand and style to a mass audience, building a huge following. Her upcoming Mass Manipulation album is set to make an even bigger mark.
