Relentless Beats

Reminiscing On The Chainsmokers’ Chart Topping Releases

In 2013, The Chainsmokers came out with their first chart-topping hit, “#SELFIE.” At the time, taking selfies was becoming a popular trend and smartphones were on the rise, so The Chainsmokers put together a track that portrays what it’s like when two girls take a bathroom break at the club and of course that includes taking a selfie.

The song is really quite humorous as the girl talks throughout the song about boy troubles, other girls, and what to caption her selfie. For its quirky nature and smashing beats, the track landed the #16 spot on Billboard’s ‘The Hot 100’ in April of 2014.

After “#SELFIE” it would be almost two years before The Chainsmokers reserved another spot on The Hot 100. Their next big single, “Roses” peaked at #6 in February of 2016 and was a hit in countries all over the world. Roses was The Chainsmokers’ true breakthrough into the music industry, and plenty of their songs landed on The Top 100 following.

Since Roses, The Chainsmokers have had 8 more tracks post on The Top 100. “Closer,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Something Just Like This” feat. Coldplay, “Paris,” “All We Know,” “Setting Fires,” “Honest,” and “The One.” In addition to that, many of their EPs and albums have gone platinum, including their latest album Memories…Do Not Open.

On Thursday, November 30, hear some of these bangers as The Chainsmokers make an appearance at Rawhide for KISS FM’s SSIK Show. This one will be very special, so don’t miss out. Buy your tickets, let your friends know you’re going by joining the event page, and we’ll see you at the show!
