YetepMichael Guard, more recently known as Blunts & Blondes, is a Tampa native who has infected the scene with neck-breaking bass at a neck-breaking speed. Starting his musical quest just back in 2015, Guard was (and still is) inspired by RL Grime, G Jones, Bassnectar, Lido, Griz, and Skrillex. He wasn’t inspired to follow suit because their music is godlike or legendary; it was their mesmerizing ability to create chords and melodies of bombastic emotion, purely using technology. Diving deeper into the pivotal moments that shaped Blunts & Blondes, he has labeled Basshunter’s “Dota” as the track that sparked the true joint-blazing passion to make music. With tomorrow being. . . well you know, Blunts & Blondes was the clear choice for today’s DJ to Watch. Enjoy his sounds today, tomorrow, and live on May 12th when he hits Phoenix.

Now, Blunts & Blondes can be found bringing the bass at Lost Lands, Foam Wonderlands, playing alongside big dogs like Snails, Zomboy, and Dion Timmer, and headlining is own North American Tour. Most recently he released the aptly titled “Mile High” with Codd Dubz that we’re playing heavily in preparation for tomorrow and their upcoming show.
On May 12th, catch him, Bommer, and HE$H tearing at the Monarch Theatre. Check out what a B&B show looks like here and grab your tickets here.
