YetepAfter amassing popularity for his releases on tastemaker labels like Spinnin’, SIZE, and Axtone Records, collaborating with massive names like Knife Party and Kryder, and operating a successful label imprint called Staar Traxx, Tom Staar is back again with an impressive new release for Tiesto. By now, everyone is familiar with the club-smashing track “BOOM” by Tiesto and Sevenn, later featuring Gucci Mane, which has garnered over 50 million streams on Spotify alone. The British producer took the amazing sounds from the original to create his official remix. The remix has a lot to offer as it features all of the quintessential Tom Staar traits like an infectious groove, clever vocal manipulation, and crystal clear production quality.
Tiesto & Sevenn ft. Gucci Mane – BOOM (Tom Staar Remix)
Released on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom, tracks like this are helping the scene stay fresh and alive. With records like this we continue to see a departure from the tracks that contain a cliche “one, two, three, jump,” and an influx in music that is listenable not for its effect on an audience, but rather its intrinsic musical integrity. The remix pack, containing remixes from Staar and Tiesto-collaborator John Christian, was released this past weekend.
