With a Biggie like flare and a heart of gold, he puts out music that keeps it old school in the new world of rap. Differing from his fellow rap producers, Gates maintains a level of boyish innocence while still feeding that inner gangster. He’s singing on honest truths in a setting that take it back to basics and serves as a clean backdrop for the song.
