YetepIf you’re not yet familiar with Kyle Hagberg, a.k.a. Kompany, now’s the time – this bass music producer is rapidly rising to the top with his innovative style and fresh energy. His music has made its way into almost every major dubstep artists’ set as of late as well as made appearances at huge festivals around the globe. After several releases on some of the biggest labels in the game, including Circus Records, Firepower Records, and Never Say Die, Kompany is back with a brand new EP, New Reign. Check it out below.
Released via Never Say Die, New Reign slaps hard with its fast-paced energy and meticulously crafted sound design. The four-track EP kicks off in full force with “Rapture,” which builds from a tranquil intro into a guttural bass masterpiece. Next comes the trippy tune “Override,” showing Kompany’s experimental side. “Stomp” is literally what it sounds like, with its crunchy bass jabs and heavy-hitting chaos. He wraps it up nicely with “Buck,” a juggernaut of a track with a haunting orchestral outro.
We can’t wait to see what Kompany and Never Say Die have planned for the rest of the year. Until then, we’ll keep breaking our neck to these four bangers. If you want to get in on the neck-breaking action, be sure to catch Kompany alongside fellow bass producer Eptic on September 1 at the Monarch Theatre in Phoenix. Grab your tickets here.
