YetepSince the release of Astroworld this past August, Travis Scott has been busy trying to keep up with the tremendous success. He’s embarked on a headlining tour, made an appearance on Saturday Night Live, and he’s just released the highly anticipated music video for “Sicko Mode” ft. Drake. For this week’s Watch it Wednesday, check out the video for “Sicko Mode” below.
Travis Scott – Sicko Mode ft. Drake (Official Video)
The track is arguably the most popular from Astroworld so it’s fitting they went all out with the visual accompaniment. Shot in Houston and directed by Dave Meyers and Travis Scott, the video is surreal and trippy, as it jumps from scene to scene, utilizing creative production techniques and artistic elements. Dave Meyers also directed Scott’s “Stop Trying to Be God” video, which also contained unique visuals and innovative production techniques.
It’s interesting to see the vision Scott has for Astroworld unfold, and so far, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve seen. “Sicko Mode” is currently at No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Songs airplay chart, demonstrating I’m not the only one who feels this way.
