YetepBlossoming producer Manila Killa is gaining hearts and attention for his effortless and angelic ability to create music that hits you in the feels without being overly euphoric. By now he has a plethora of remixes and original tracks under his belt and lately has been supporting Petit Biscuit on his headlining tour. Manila Killa’s sound is in that sweet spot between indie music and soft electronic beats, and his latest, “Run Away,” is a heavenly example of this.
“Run Away,” has a nostalgic vibe to it, with a muted drum and light, indie guitar that slowly warms the track up. The lyrics, “we know to run away,” create a yearning for something that was and sound nearly bittersweet with the high-pitched, crooning voices. With its ethereal vocals and silky synths, Manila Killa’s latest is a delicate ode to running away, and maybe running towards something else.
