YetepFor this week’s DJ to Watch, we are taking a look at Kaivon, a newcomer to the industry who has already made quite a name for himself. Kaivon’s tracks on streaming platforms like Spotify and Soundcloud have collectively reached over 6 million streams. The handful of singles Kaivon has made since his debut late 2016 all keep the empowering theme of “rebirth” in their core.
Kaivon became inspired to start making electronic music after attending Coachella 2014, which featured artists like Zedd, Chromeo, and Martin Garrix. Determined to play on the same stages that once inspired him, Kaivon began to pursue the road less traveled and began producing.
His style of music is influenced by artists like RL Grime and Skrillex. Tracks like “Reborn” and “Let Me Go” are melodic yet powerful future bass bangers that are sure to get listeners feeling emotional. Each one of his songs has a completely different feel, but they are all imaginative nevertheless.
Kaivon is making his Arizona debut alongside artists like Wuki and Slander at the 10-year anniversary of Crush this upcoming February. Grab tickets here.
