YetepOn his latest collection of work, Kaytranada does what he knows best, showing off his R&B and electric fusion sound while bringing on Ty Dolla Sign and Shay Lia for vocals. The 3-track EP (five if you count the instrumental tracks–and we do!) is absolutely amazing. The talented artist from Montreal is like nothing out there, and his infectious vibe, present on NOTHIN LIKE U/CHANCES, makes us keep coming back for more.
The first track, “NOTHIN LIKE U” featuring Ty Dolla Sign, filled with bumping drums and dreamy synths, is one of those songs that can put anyone in a good mood. The touted rapper proves to fill out the track, making it the most popular of the bunch. “CHANCES” is another moody piece, this time reveling in smooth keys and a subtly funky bass line. “IT WAS MEANT 2 B” rounds out the EP with solid instrumentation that slowly builds up before breaking down to highlight addicting, organic bass.
Joining the trio of tracks are the two instrumentals mentioned previously. Kaytranada is bringing beautiful tunes to the table on a regular basis–stay up to date with his socials below to be in the know!
