YetepLondon duo Eliza Nobel and Jennifer Skillman, aka Eli & Fur, have been working together since their teens. They got their start in production and songwriting, writing pop songs for UK groups, as well as doing vocal sessions with other singers. They started dabbling in their own production, and released their first major single, “You’re So High,” in 2013, which racked up tens of millions of plays online, helping launch the pair into the spotlight.
They have since toured the country and performed countless gigs, and released on respected labels such as Defected and Anjunadeep. For this week’s RB Deep in the Mix, check out their mix for BBC Radio 1.
With a self-described style of “melodic music rooted in the underground,” Eli & Fur’s music is designed to soothe your soul, and they do just that in this week’s mix. They often sing their own vocals, which they heavily process, resulting in an ambiguous, hypnotizing sound. These two look to innovation in their production, and it shows.
Be sure to catch Eli & Fur at Shady Park in Tempe on Friday, July 26. Click here to purchase tickets.
