YetepDo you have a confession to make? French DJ and record producer Martin Joseph Leonard Bresso does. Better known by his stage name Tchami, this pioneer of the Future House genre in EDM is set to play at The Pressroom in Phoenix in late June. Born in Paris, France, this blooming and successful artist has since traveled to North America for many shows, tours, and festivals, showcasing his talent all over the United States.
Climbing his way to the top through hard work, creativity, and collaboration, Tchami has done several supporting tours alongside the likes of successful artists Skrillex, DJ Snake, and Diplo. However, there is also much to be said about his own personal headlining shows and tours as well, playing in some of the most sought after festivals and venues in the country such as the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, solidifying him as a strong force in the EDM industry.
One of the most notable and perhaps remarkable points of Tchami’s performances is his use of his stage persona. He incorporates the theme of church and takes on the character of a priest during his sets, which can be attributed to the naming of his record label ‘Confession’. Before one of his performances in Brooklyn, an interview with Tchami revealed a bit more on the reasoning behind his themes and signature look. When asked about his “priest look and church theme,” he answered, “it’s my message, being spiritual. I think my music is about that too.” Tchami continues to grow and impress as his career ever skyrockets and his music reaches the masses.
Tchami is no stranger to the west coast, as he has been on several lineups for local festivals in Arizona within the past few years, as well as played in many shows and tour dates in neighboring states. Whether you’re in need of some spiritual guidance, itching for some prominent sounds in Future House, or just have a confession to make, you don’t want to miss Tchami’s performance at The Pressroom in Phoenix on June 29th!
