YetepHailing from a small seaport town in Connecticut, Nathanial Rathbun, aka Audien, has been producing beats for us since his happy hardcore days in 2008. His tastes have evolved across several genres over the years, covering everything from trance to future bass. If you’re not familiar with the varying styles Audien has to offer, let’s get you started with these five tracks to add to your playlist.
This remix of the indie-pop song “Pompei” by Bastille earned Audien a Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
Audien crossed over into pop with this 2015 single ft. Lady Antebellum. The track made it to No. 2 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs in 2015 before jumping onto the Billboard Top 40 in Pop Songs, marking the producer’s first appearance on a pop chart.
Perhaps the first Audien track I ever heard, “Hot Water” still never gets old. Released in 2017, the track is a collaboration with 3LAU, featuring vocals by Victoria Zaro.
A 2018 collab with Arty, “Never Letting Go” is a euphoric Trance anthem released on Anjunabeats.
Audien crosses off the future bass category with this track, one of his more recent releases ft. Echosmith.
You can catch Audien alongside Vanic at Talking Stick Resort on August 17th for a Release Pool Party. Click here to purchase tickets.
