YetepAt only 19-years-old, Australian dubstep prodigy, Hamish Prasad, who is better known by the name of MASTADON, has been taking fans and fellow producers by storm. Hamish has been perfecting his sound design and his unique in-your-face mixture of heavy bass and metal from the age of 13, so there is no doubt he is insanely good at what he does. With his rise in fame the past few years, he has released two EPs on Never Say Die’s Black Label; the Malignant EP in 2017 and the Decimate EP the following year, both of which consist of explosive bass and chaos, but in the best possible way. This year the star released his third EP, SHIT VOL. 1, but this time on his own label, Malignant Music, and has an official remix on Excision’s Apex: The Remixes album. Unfortunately, with his growth came a complication; there is a metal band in the U.S. named Mastodon, which was causing some confusion, although Hamish spelled his name differently. MASTADON has officially rebranded as MARAUDA on all platforms. We are eager to hear his “new era” under this name and will be awaiting new releases!

MARAUDA has been sharpening his skills over the years with these new releases and tons of live performances in his home country. Now that he has a U.S. visa, we are glad to see will be touring and popping up on huge festival lineups throughout the states, such as Bass Canyon, Lost Lands, and our very own Bassrush Massive 2019. This will be MARAUDA’s Arizona debut, alongside huge names such as Flux Pavillion, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Herobust, and more. His dark, slaughtering sound is something you will not want to miss out on. Grab your tickets for Bassrush Massive here and get lost in some floor shaking bass with up and coming producer MARAUDA.
