YetepBritish DJ Daley Padley, better known as Hot Since 82, recently released a remix package surrounding his leading track “Therapy,” which first appeared on his latest album that came out earlier this year. The album, 8-track, dropped at the end of July, providing listeners with cool and entrancing house music vibes that create quite the unique auditory experience. The album is said to be deeply personal to the artist, and is a result of several years of hard work amongst a busy and stressful touring schedule around the globe. The “Therapy (Remixes)” package was soon to follow, being released only a little over a month after 8-track. With four new mixes of the original track from varied and talented artists, new takes on the song are displayed with incredible diversity, leaving listeners with fresh sounds and exciting remixes that allow the track to be experienced in whole new ways. Explore each of the new creations below!
Among the artists behind the remixes are British deep house producer Jimpster, electronic artist Magdalena (who is responsible for 2/4 of the tracks, one being a remix and the other being a dub), and house music DJ duo Avesie & Cadence. Each bringing their own unique tastes and perspectives to the track, the artists find ways to build upon the art and beauty of the original while introducing new elements that are sure to keep the excitement going. The vibes completely differ from remix to remix, providing varied atmospheres, moods, and tempos that capture an array of styles within house music as well as create new cadences and flow specific to each mix.
Perhaps even more exciting for us Arizona locals, Hot Since 82 has not one but two shows coming up right in Tempe. His show at Shady Park is already sold out, so don’t miss your chance to see him at SunBar on October 13th! See more info and get tickets here!
