Relentless Beat of the Week: Diplomacy – ‘Silver Lake Queen’
Elephante is embarking on a new music project called Diplomacy, and it is seeing their first release TODAY! The new collaboration is a partnership between the producer and childhood friend and actor Jack Falahee who is best known for his star role on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder.
Jack and Elephante, born Tim Wu, grew up together in Michigan, moved separately to LA to pursue acting and music, and are now combining forces to form Diplomacy. They pull from their respective areas of expertise, writing, singing, recording, producing, and mixing all songs, to creative direction on visuals. Sonically, there are elements of rock, pop, alt, and dance with all organic instrumentation.
Let’s get into the sound of their new track. Imagine if The Black Keys met Flume…that is what we are working with on this one. Kicking off the partnership, they two are ready to release “Silver Lake Queen,” the debut electric, moody single of Diplomacy. Check it out below as today’s Relentless Beat of the Week.
