YetepThe creator of mushroom jazz, Mark Farina has been offering his vision to audiences across a variety of stages since the 80s. His eccentric jazzy sound and his perseverance in the industry have yielded Farina a plethora of rewards, including his own record label, Great Lakes Audio Recordings, which acts as a vessel for seeking out and presenting like-minded producers and their music. Even though it’s been three decades since his start, Mark Farina continues to deliver new music to his fans. Most recently, he’s collaborated with Homero Espinosa on their track “Detour Jazz.” Listen below.
Farina and Espinosa’s collab dances on the genre line between house and jazz with enough weird energy to satisfy the masses. A rhythmic bassline paired with instrumental infusions stays true to Mark Farina’s instant classic mushroom jazz genre. You can experience this groove for yourself when Farina comes to Shady Park on November 15th. Find your tickets here.
