YetepLouisiana native Bàwldy has a grimy, muddy sound straight from the swamps of the south. He’s been educating the masses on wubs and dub since he started, and promptly dropped a single called “what’s a dubstep” about a year ago. Since he started uploading to his SoundCloud about three years ago, Bàwldy has been building his wobbly portfolio, adding to this one year ago a collaboration with Blunts & Blondes titled “Routine.” Listen below.
In addition to gaining support from Blunts & Blondes, Bàwldy has been collaborating with other up and coming artists as well as releasing mini mixes and edits. He carefully constructs each track, and though the audio texture of his tracks is sloppy (in the best way,) it’s clear that Bàwldy spends time ensuring the rhythm of his music is on point. Bàwldy’s sound design contains a robustness that adds to each track’s juicy composure, further pushing him into the spotlight and making him this week’s DJ to Watch.
Bawldy will be supporting Blunts & Blondes along with SubDocta on February 20th at The Green Room – you can find tickets here.
