YetepOver the last few years, crowds have fallen in love with Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, who together are Louis The Child, for their sweet, sweet synths and melodic genre they’ve labeled “happy” on their Facebook page. Hits like “Love Is Alive,” “Fire,” and “Better Not” graze the line between pop synth and house music, resulting in a sweet harmony of emotive basslines and retro sound design. Their tracks are saturated in their signature style, but their sets are also infused with deep house and beats that are less mainstream to satisfy their fans searching for something different. A biweekly taste of this can be found in Playground Radio hosted by Louis The Child themselves; for this week’s RB Deep in the Mix, we’ve featured Episode #034, which includes a guest mix from Autograf. Listen below.
Autograf, composed of Louis Kha and Mikul Wing, will release their debut album The Ace Of You very soon – which means lots of new music to hear during their live sets. For now, Autograf has a 30-minute guest mix halfway through the episode, and before that, you can hear Louis The Child spin tracks from artists like Rebuke, Ross From Friends, Bonobo, and more.
Autograf’s celebrity sound will be bumping at Sunbar on March 13th and Gentle Ben’s on March 14th. Find tickets for the Tempe show here and the Tucson show here.
