We are just two months away from New Orleans’ annual BUKU Music + Art Project, a diverse and eclectic amalgamation of art, culture, food, and music. The lineup was announced late last year, and if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed at the extensive list of artists spanning multiple genres, let this guide of must-see sets assist you in narrowing down your itinerary decisions.
Zeds Dead
The boys were on fire in 2019, teasing track after track of unreleased music during every live set they played. I can only imagine what 2020 will look like for the duo, which is exactly why they’re at the top of my list for BUKU.
Run The Jewels
Known for their electric stage presence, Run The Jewels left an impression after performing at BUKU in previous years, including 2015 and 2017. In order to see what all the hype is about, it was a no-brainer adding them to the list.
LSDREAM
If you don’t already know, LSDREAM is the exciting new project from Sam Damient, formerly known as Brillz. He’s already created quite a buzz with his delightfully trippy sound and I have yet to see it live, making it a top contender for me at BUKU this year.
i_o
There’s something very exciting about seeing i_o live, no matter how many times you’ve seen him. His blend of hard techno and dark melodies puts me in a trance. If you haven’t seen him live yet, do not miss this opportunity!
