Shift K3Y Drops New EP ‘They Wanna Know’

London bass house producer Lewis Shay Jankel, AKA Shift K3Y has been churning out tracks since 2011 with his debut EP Step in the City. His sound is a tantalizing mix of the sounds of R&B and house beats, staying true to his underground futuristic house sound. Shift K3y’s career took-off in 2012 when he caught the eye of Borgore’s record label Buygore, featuring his track “Wiggle With It,” and now he is playing shows as well as festivals around the U.S. and the U.K.

This EP was released on the Night Bass label and only consists of two songs, “They Wanna Know” and “Come On.” “They Wanna Know” begins  electric vocals and an enticing bass line that progressively picks up the pace and adds more musical elements until builds up into a bass drop. “Come On” on the other hand, has a similar bass line, but is a much more menacing tune packed with UK bass. These two tracks complement each other on this short but sweet EP, and hopefully there will be more releases in the near future!
