Walker & Royce Add a Tech House Spin to Destructo’s ‘Loaded’

WED, FEB 12, 2020

Back in 2017, Destructo solicited the help of Yo Gotti to release the bass house hit, “Loaded.” The AMF-founder’s track featured Yo Gotti’s rhymes atop a club-ready beat. This week, Walker & Royce revived the track for a remix, making it their own with their idiosyncratic groovy style. Hit play below to check it out.

Adding a tech house spin, Walker & Royce took Destructo’s OG version and quickened up the bass while adding some quirky elements to bring the track up to speed with what’s going on here in 2020. Also included in the remix package is SQWAD’s tripped-out take on the original track.

Walker & Royce have been on fire as of late. The Brooklyn-based duo just finished up at Holy Ship! Wrecked, and have performances booked through Spring, including Elsewhere in New York, Elements Lakewood Festival in Pennsylvania, and Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit. They were unstoppable in 2019, releasing singles like “Word” with VNSSA in February, “Bodies Do the Talking” in June, their Rave Grave EP in September, and a remix of Dom Dolla’s “San Frandisco” in November.
