Disclosure Announces Upcoming Album ‘ENERGY’ with New Track

GRAMMY-nominated U.K. duo Disclosure announced earlier this week an upcoming album set to release August 28th titled ENERGY. This will be the duo’s first LP in five years. With the announcement they dropped the title-track. It’s a groovy, raucous house rhythm with a hip-hop sample from Eric Thomas, who previously worked with the duo on their massive hit “When a Fire Starts to Burn.” Get your first preview of ENERGY below.

Disclosure explain, “When we found Eric many years ago, he was like a goldmine of inspirational quotes and motivational speeches. Even if he was speaking to a room of five, it was like he was addressing a stadium. He has an immense presence and energy about him that translates so well into music – especially house music. This time, we cut up various speeches to make something that makes sense. What he says is basically the whole concept for the record, that’s why it became the title track.”

A global spectrum of talented artists grace the album – and, for the first time, this includes rappers. Appearances from Mick Jenkins, ChannelTres, Aminé, Kelis, Kehlani and slowthai sit comfortably alongside the legendary Common and more. Fans who pre-order the album digitally will instantly receive the title track. ENERGY will also be available on vinyl, CD and cassette. Pre-order HERE.
