YetepFollowing their first studio album, The Return of House Music, in 2019, Dutch duo Moksi is back with album number two, Free Moksi. Released via Yellow Claw’s Imprint, Barong Family, Free Moksi comprises 13 tracks, including collaborations with artists like Slushii, Dread MC, Mike Cervello, Dunking, and more.
Check it out below!
Like The Return of House Music, Free Moksi contains a diverse mix of bass house, future house, tech house, and other genre-bending tracks. Some standout tracks include the groovy “Skinny Dipping” featuring trippy synth work and distorted vocals by Jonathan., the colorful and catchy “A Million Dollars” with Donkong and vocals by WET, and the bass-infused “Keepin It Real” with Slushii.
“Praise the Day” invokes your spiritual side with its poppy feel and uplifting vocals. “Brooklyn” with Mike Cervello meshes old school hip-hop elements with Moksi’s signature bass house sound. “Inside of Me” might be one of the most innovative tracks on the album, with its glitchy layers and NANAMI’s soothing vocals bringing it to a new height.
This duo continues to impress with their genre-bending capabilities and innovation in style. You won’t want to miss them next Saturday, March 26th at Sunbar in Tempe for their Free Moksi Tour. You can grab tickets here. Don’t live in the valley? You can also catch them at The Hangar in New Orleans on March 11th. Tickets are available here.
