Relentless Beats

John Summit and Guz Reunite on ‘What A Life’

He’s drunk. And he’s high. And he’s celebrating life! It’s been a whirlwind of a year for John Summit. Not one for resting, Summit is keeping his hot streak alive with his latest release “What A Life,” produced alongside Guz and singer Stevie Appleton. Out via Off The Grid Records, “What A Life” marks the second release for Summit’s newly minted label. Summit and Guz, who previously collaborated on “Thin Line” nearly two years ago, reunited to showcase their versatility by creating a more melodic and organic house track.

Check it out below:

Buoyant and breezy, “What A Life” is a juxtaposition from the darker grooves harnessed in Off The Grid’s debut release earlier this year. Whereas “In Chicago” is the hazy pulse of night life, “What A Life” is the golden embrace of summertime sun. A lush beat and serene chords mingle with Stevie Appleton’s airy vocals to create an irresistible, carefree energy.

Don’t miss John Summit’s Off The Grid Block Party in Downtown Tempe on September 25th. You really won’t want to miss this one. Get your tickets here.
