Gigantic NGHTMRE’s EP: A Sonic Mix of Sax & Bass

Gigantic NGHTMRE, the electrifying powerhouse group gracing festival stages with their unique combination of live instruments, trap, and bass, have blessed us with an entire EP. Titled Gigantic NGHTMRE after the stage name the group performs under, this five-track EP showcases both Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE’s production mastery, as well as their ability to merge their signature sounds into a new experience that audiences can’t get enough of.

Starting off with “Back For More,” the group shows the audience that they’re in for a treat. Almost immediately, you can hear the signature saxophone driving the melody, a sound that persists throughout the entire song. This track does an incredible job of showcasing a hybrid of their two individual styles, often combining beautiful saxophone sounds with trap-style bass drops. Following this is my favorite song from the EP, “Disconnected.” This song promises to be a summertime staple on the dance floor, as its hard-hitting house beat keeps everyone moving and grooving.

“Twilight (Something’s Here)” arrives with a darker, bassier buildup and delivers a headbanging drop that crowds have come to expect from the group’s live sets. Demonstrating their range, “Never Loved You Like That,” features vocals from SAFIA that beautifully set the tone for the house drop, with a captivating saxophone melody entering midway. Ending strongly, “Keep The Change” wraps up the EP with an infectious future house drop that showcases the group’s ability to create timeless classics.

Gigantic NGHTMRE has shown that they are here to stay. After exclusively performing at festivals for some time, they recently played their first headline show at the Brooklyn Mirage to great reception. Hopefully, they’ll make their way to Arizona soon. In the meantime, you can catch NGHTMRE at Maya Dayclub in Scottsdale on August 20th. Grab your tickets here!
