Remix Recall: ‘Ray Of Solar’ – Swedish House Mafia (Mau P Remix)

Experiencing a full-circle moment is among life’s greatest gifts. When a dream comes true or when the past magically meets the present, everything becomes connected. In this week’s Remix Recall, we’re highlighting Mau P’s full circle moment with his remix of Swedish House Mafia’s recent record, “Ray Of Solar,” and the connection that inspired him to pursue a career in electronic dance music.

“Ray Of Solar” serves as Swedish House Mafia’s second release of their current era, which the group has promised will produce a forthcoming sophomore album. Mau P completely captures the essence of “Ray Of Solar” and simultaneously transforms it into a euphoric masterpiece with an addictive groove. Along with the surprise of this new release, Mau P credited the supergroup as the sole inspiration for his interest in electronic dance music.

Of the release, Mau P shared: “Music is definitely in my DNA but I know for a fact that there wouldn’t be a Mau P without those early influences by the Swedish House Mafia. They’re the reason I went down this path and this remix is truly a full circle moment.”

Speaking on behalf of the Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello added: “We’ve been watching Mau P for some time and like what he has been up to. We are really glad to have him do a remix of our latest single, Ray Of Solar, enjoy!

Mau P is unquestionably one of the greatest producers to come out of the new wave of house and techno. It seems he may have the Midas touch because every single release he shares is made of solid gold. Mau P will be joining us for Super Unnatural this October 27-28th at the Westworld of Scottsdale. Don’t miss your chance to witness the magic of Mau P, Four Tet, Dom Dolla, Fisher, and so many more! Check out one of the best lineups of the year and grab your tickets here.
