Your 2024 GRAMMY nominees have arrived! The Recording Academy officially revealed the 2024 GRAMMY nomination list on Friday for the Dance/Electronic and Pop Dance categories. A number of electronic artists, including Fred again.., Skrillex, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, Dom Dolla, Kx5, and more have all made the cut.
This year, the Grammy Awards added a new category for Best Pop Dance Recording in order to recognize artists like David Guetta and Calvin Harris whose work bridges between dance and pop music. David Guetta received two nominations for Best Pop Dance Recording for his collaborations “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” with Anne-Marie and Coi Leray and “One In A Million” with Bebe Rexha. Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s “Miracle,” Troye Sivan’s “Rush,” and Kylie Minogue’s “Padam Padam” are also among the nominees for the first round of Best Pop Dance Recording.
Fred again.. earned two well-deserved nominations: one for Best New Artist and another for Best Dance/Electronic Recording. Meanwhile, legendary house music producer Dom Dolla was nominated for his first-ever GRAMMY in the Best Remixed Recording category for his brilliant remix of Gorillaz’s “New Gold.” Deep house maestro Lane 8 also received his first nomination for Best Remixed Recording for his remix of “Reviver” featuring Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.
The following artists received GRAMMY nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Recording: Fred again… (Actual Life 3 [January 1 – September 9 2022]), Skrillex (Quest for Fire), The Chemical Brothers (For That Beautiful Feeling), James Blake (Playing Robots Into Heaven), and deadmau5 and Kaskade as Kx5 (Kx5).
GRAMMY nominees for Best Dance/Electronic Album include Disclosure’s “Higher Than Ever Before,” Aphex Twin’s “Blackbox Life Recorder 21F,” James Blake’s “Loading,” Fred again… and Romy’s “Strong,” and Skrillex, Fred again… and Flowdan’s “Rumble.”
