Dubstep Dive: Unmissable Dubstep Sets at Decadence AZ

In this edition of the Dubstep Dive, I wanted to go through all of the amazing dubstep sets that headbangers cannot miss at Decadence AZ. As the lineup was announced, dubstep fans could not believe the caliber of names that kept being announced and I am very excited to mosh into the new year. No matter what genre you are into, Decadence has some amazing dubstep that is sure to catch your ear.

The first set that headbangers cannot miss has to be Excision. The king of dubstep, Excision, will be joining us on an absolutely stacked night on the 30th. One of the OG dubstep artists, Excision is known across the globe as one of the greatest to ever do it. From touring to throwing his own festivals, Excision has seemingly done it all in the dubstep genre. Excision will be joined on the 30th by one of his best friends and collaborators, Wooli. Wooli had one of the best years of his career in 2024, throwing his own curated events to releasing collaborations with Subtronics and Ganja White Night. Wooli has been an outstanding artist that has broken through to the next level. To round out my list for the unmissable dubstep sets on the 30th I couldn’t leave out my personal favorite artist, Svdden Death. One of the leading tastemakers in the tearout and riddim subgenre, Svdden Death is going to throw down at the raceway. Returning to the Valley for the first time since touring with Slander in 2023, Svdden Death is one of the most unique and heavy artists on the entire lineup. There is no one on the list that can bring the energy quite like Svdden Death and there are sure to be some rowdy mosh pits for those who want to join me in the chaos. With Excision, Wolli, and Svdden Death all playing on the 30th, it is hard to even see how they are going to fit in all of the amazing talent.

Moving onto New Years Eve, we have another night of insane bass music. The first must see dubstep set on the 31st has got to be Zeds Dead. After announcing a new album and tour in early 2025, Zeds Dead have quite a year lined up already. After coming to decadence back in 2019, the bass duo is ready to return to the biggest New Years Eve party in the state. Zeds Dead have impressed over the past year and this new album is sure to include some of the amazing IDs that have been appearing in Zeds Dead sets for the last two years. If you want to get a sneak peak into to the new album, then you are not going to want to miss this amazing set. In addition to Zeds Dead, Crankdat and Riot Ten are going back to back for their new project, Dog Eat Dog. These two have such insane energy whenever they perform separately, it is no surprise that these two are going to bring the house down with their back to back. As an honorable mention, I think that dubstep fans would be pleasantly surprised by the new John Summit. Taking the honors of sending us into the new year, John Summit has been mixing it up in his most recent sets. After collaborating with Subtronics and Tape B for some fire new releases, Summit has continued to include more dubstep and heavy bass into his sets. Hopefully we will be able to get a little more of this energy and new genres in his New Years Eve set. No matter what genre of dubstep you are into, there is going to be something for everyone to enjoy! Get your Decadence tickets HERE and join us for two nights of headbanging and high knees energy.
