YetepMPH is a UK garage artist bringing a fresh vibe to the genre, and his sound has got me in a chokehold. House music hasn’t always been my favorite, but MPH is one of those artists pulling me in. His ability to craft infectious beats with such intentional, detailed touches is unmatched, and it’s no wonder he’s gaining popularity in the United States. After several successful tours across Australia, the UK, and now the US, it’s safe to say MPH is a rising star—building momentum and showing no signs of slowing down!
UK Garage is my favorite house subgenre, and MPH truly exemplifies what UKG is all about. The rhythm is usually faster than tech house, with technical details that create textured, captivating moments throughout each track. These flashes of brilliance shine, especially in my favorite song, “Run It.” During the drop, the melody cascades over an intricate beat pattern, with subtle rhythmic shifts that keep listeners on their toes. You can also hear why MPH is a rising star in his latest album, Refraction. Tracks like “North LDN” and “Endorphins” are true standouts, though honestly, every song is a bop.
MPH is slowly taking over the house scene, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s a fixture on the summer festival circuit. His groove is unmatched, and his sound has the backing of some of today’s biggest names in house music. While MPH just played at Darkstar, here’s hoping he makes a speedy return!
