YetepA few months back I wrote a piece about Late June’s track “Focus” which released in August. Now, to close out the year, the Aotearoa-based producer has released an entire album of tracks with a very similar sound. The album is a perfect play through for a coffee house, chill-out kind of day. The genre originates in late 1980s Ibiza where DJs played music to allow dancers a place to chill out from the dance floor. I’m not sure why we don’t see these spaces much now since many festival-goers will find a spot to relax after many hours of dancing. Regardless, Late June has continuously been producing in the space for nearly a decade with an authentic and emotional take on the genre. His latest album builds on his legacy as he continues to show growth and evolution in his sound.

“Mending is about healing through nature, therapy, travelling, and friendship. Finding the small things in life and making art out of every little memory.”
– Late June
