Malaa has gifted us not one but two full albums for a special double feature release. The album’s All In and Blackout showcase a unique project for Malaa and his alter ego. All In ventures the deep and hypnotic house sounds that Malaa is known for and Blackout explores a vast soundscape of EDM subgenres. Malaa has always brought a complex blend of finesse to his music and is never afraid to break boundaries within his music. All In and Blackout highlight his legendary musical skills and his exploratory style.
From one side of Malaa he brings All In, this album brings his OG house sounds. The album balances both dark and entrancing house beats to energetic and buzzing bass house tunes. All In brings collaborations from Jeremih on “All In,” Sonni on “Mask On,” Vory on “Save Me,” and LOKMANN on “Rastafari.”
On the other side, Malaa debuts his first album, Blackout, under his alter ego. Besides the four previously released tracks, he unveils four brand new insane tracks. The album is beautifully chaotic, bouncing between all types of genres across the edm-verse. Malaa reveals an unexpected expertise and versatility throughout the diverse blend of music in Blackout. The album contains drum n bass, hard techno, hard groove, and more. Blackout contains fire collabs from IRAH on “Psycho,” Vortek’s on “Ghetto,” Odymel on “Mango Disco,” and Kaliboy on “Simya.”
