The man that keeps us on our toes, surprised the edm scene with the release of his brand new album, F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT YOUR NOT!!<3. After previewing some tracks at an absolutely insane set at Ultra Music Festival this past weekend, Skrillex announced his fourth studio album just a day before its release. The album is packed heavy with 34 tracks and an array of fire collaborations. Skrillex brings his new album under legendary labels OWSLA and Atlantic Records.
F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT YOUR NOT!!<3 is jam-packed with heat compiled in a mixtape style. Each track blends into each other and ventures through a unique soundscape of Skrillex’s notorious production style and breaks ground into some trailblazing electronic beats. The album transports listeners back in time, with a feeling like we’re back into the 2010’s golden-era of dubstep and trap music, while simultaneously bringing an innovative sound design.
F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT YOUR NOT!!<3 features multiple mind-boggling collaborations. Skrillex brings on a legendary team of producers and singers to tie his album together. He collaborates with artists like Virtual Riot, Boyz Noize, Dylan Brady, swedm®, Wuki, Nakeesha, Space Laces, G Jones, and so many more. In addition to some fire collaborations, Skrillex releases long-awaited tracks “VOLTAGE” and “SPITFIRE” with HAWAII SLIM, which were tracks back from his earlier days of making edm music.
Skrillex showcases his versatility as he explores the depths of edm, adding in techno and dnb songs into the mix. In addition, Skrillex adds in some of his old-school beats into the tracks of the album. Skrillex layers genre-bending sounds, ad-libs, and experimental beats into his music that gives each track so much depth. His unmatched production ability continues to bring refreshing and buzzing energy.
