YetepThe bass world just received its heaviest gift yet. Svdden Death has joined forces with tearout king Nimda, the cryptic yvm3, and death metal artist Peeling Flesh to deliver “Midnight,” a collision of metal’s aggression and tearout’s angry energy that’s already sending shockwaves through the scene.
This brutal collaboration arrives as Svdden Death’s VOYD project reaches new heights. Following the overwhelming success of his immersive VOYD Dome experience, following the announcement of VOYD 2.5, a remix album featuring impressive reinterpretations of the best VOYD 2 tracks. Sneak previews of possible tracks were played at VOYD Dome, including MUERTE’s haunting take on “Laughing Track” and Nimda’s “Kereberot” remix, suggesting this collection will be nothing short of legendary.
“Midnight” itself is a revelation, Nimda’s signature chainsaw bass intertwines with Svdden Death’s signature darkness, while Peeling Flesh injects pure energy through those guttural vocals. The track is a tribute to Svdden Death’s evolution as both an artist and curator of his heavy bass creativity.
With VOYD’s expansion continuing and “Midnight” setting a new standard for collaborative heaviness, 2025 is shaping up to be Svdden Death’s most groundbreaking year yet. One thing’s certain, when it comes to pushing bass music’s limits, he’s always finding ways to overdue expectations.
