There is no better way to start this hype builder than with “PHARAOH,” the first Alleycvt song that I ever heard. It came up on a Spotify shuffle of related songs and caught me completely off guard. This song, along with “Right Back” permanently changed my EDM trajectory and introduced me to my favorite DJ.

“PHARAOH” begins with Alleycvt’s echoing, tuned vocals and atmospheric notes straight out of the Sahara Desert. Forest notes and chants also dance along like fireflies while the song builds. These notes evolve into fuzzy wubs and Trap-inspired drum effects. The wubs roll along, gradually increasing in intensity. Leading to the first drop, complete with “WHOOP!” effects.

“PHARAOH” then suddenly bursts into a verse. This transition threw me off when I first heard it. Causing me to start it over and listen more closely. Trap “BWAMP” effects cut through the vocals like Egyptian spears in battle. The beat rises again, leading us down into the second drop. Bass pulses in and out like a rapid heartbeat. The beat slows down before steadily rising once again. The drums speed up before evacuating into another dimension. “SWITCH IT!!” The wubs become more low ended and wavy, dueling with the desert notes before fading out. This unexpected treasure will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope it does the same for you!

“Imma be taking what’s mine. It’s written deep down in my soul. And imma make sure when I die, My sh*t gonna be buried in gold!”

Do not miss the chance to see an unforgettable Alleycvt set and prepare to be MESMERIZED.
