The Quiet Return of the Underground
Bristol producer/DJ Eli Brown and Spanish producer/DJ Danny Avila are titans in their own right, Each having illustrious careers that started in the 2010s. Their versatile, multi-genre capabilities make them the perfect duo to work together and craft amazing tracks. Their newest collaboration, the highly anticipated track “Gotta Go,” is high octane with hard-hitting kicks. A fist-bumping dark Techno rager that features uptempo sections inspired by Trance and SACHA‘s incredible talent on vocals. “Gotta Go” starts with a gradual build-up complimented by heavy drums and vocals that dance right along with them. The vocals and lyrics are confident, self-assured, and perfect for a red-lit club.
“She’s gotta goal she’s gotta go. She’s gotta go, I mean it. I see the way you look at me. You want a piece come eat it. She’s gotta go, She’a gotta go. You know I won’t repeat it. Repeat it, re-repeat. She keep tryna be me, but she not.”
Crunchy basslines reverberate in the background as the track intensifies, perfectly matching the energy of a raging dance floor. Multiple layers of drums (including kicks, claps, and hi hats) combine to create a force to be reckoned with and build anticipation for the first drop. Menacing synth rolls in and out of the song with ease as we rise to the first drop.
The first drop weaves in and out of the heavy drums and breaks into a Trap-like bridge that is PERFECT for getting low on the dance floor. The track comes back with full force as we are returned to dark Techno territory. The electrifying beat continues to weave along with the vocals and galloping basslines. The ending track section is extremely well-layered and features a lot of subtle sound elements that become clearer with each listen.

“Gotta Go” is an incredible collaboration and an incredible first impression of SACHA’s vocal capabilities. Her voice meshes with the changing beat effortlessly and gives “Gotta Go” an additional layer of balance. The styles of both producers are evident as well and I would love to see more collaborations between this incredible duo.
Eli Brown also recently announced a 2026 EU Tour that stops in The Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Spain, Austria, and Ireland, while beginning in March. I hope to see Eli Brown tear up the dance floor on a US Tour as soon as possible. Happy Listening!
