YetepUnderground deep dubstep artist Gu Ru is back with another heavy-hitting release, and once again, he delivers. With every new track, his sound continues to sharpen and evolve, making each release feel stronger than the last. If you’re tuned into the deeper side of bass music, it’s easy to hear why Gu Ru is quickly gaining momentum. Fans of artists like CloZee, LSDREAM, and other underground dubstep acts currently touring across the U.S. will want to keep this one on their radar. His latest single, “Hubba Bubba,” is a clear example of how far his sound design and structure has come.
Much like today’s bass heavyweights such as Zeds Dead and Subtronics, Gu Ru weaves pop culture inspired samples and familiar vocal elements into his productions, giving his tracks personality and replay value. “Hubba Bubba” blends those playful touches with deep, rolling basslines that wash over you just as much as they pull you in. Clean drum layers and simple, hypnotic melodies leave plenty of room for the low end to breathe, creating a track that’s meant to be felt as much as it’s heard. Give it a listen, and be sure to check back for more fresh new music each week.
