Mita Gami & Rafael Collaborate on Maccabi House’s Latest Release, ‘What is Luv’

The Tel Aviv native DJs are back in the spotlight collaborating on their first single together, “What is Luv.” Mita Gami and Rafael have both had multiple releases on Maccabi House in recent years. The label was cofounded by Mita Gami and Adam Ten in 2020 and has stayed true to promoting diverse artists through songs with rhythmic grooves and a psychedelic punch. “What is Luv” embodies these qualities and showcases both artists with a familiar yet fresh sound.

With the original and extended versions now both available, fans and artists alike can have it their way when crafting their next auditory journey. “What is Luv” starts with a relatively simple intro (with a unique dial tone sound in the extended version) building into a sassy groove characterized by crafty zaps. The drums slowly build up and ease away just when they need to letting the catchy hook do the rest.

The “What is Luv” vocal is anything you want it to mean. That’s my interpretation of it at least. Take it as a thought-provoking quandary or a silly spat of frustration. You can’t go wrong anyway you look at it as that beat keeps you locked into the groove.

Mita Gami is as hot as he’s ever been as Rafael continues to gain traction and play with other rising names such as Brunello in a B2B on the Santa Monica Pier. It’s an exciting time for the Maccabi House Label as they continue to release banger after banger with different collaborations.
