D A N N Y Drops Euphoric & Melodic DnB Track; ‘Take Me’
I recently stumbled across San Diego based producer D A N N Y and his track ‘Take Me.’ “Take Me” is vibey and melodic, while drawing inspiration from numerous genres. It features an addictive hook and smooth vocals that add to the foundational melody. The hook kicks in immediately with serenading vocals:
“Take me to the moon where we both fell in love. My mind is awake. I feel so ALIVE!”
The introduction drops the listener straight into a moonlit night. A light that is enhanced by the soothing vocals. Vibrant synth waves and drums gradually build up, culminating in a melodic DnB backbeat. The vocals twist and turn at the track’s will, matching the melody PERFECTLY. Buzzing bass rolls along with the DnB break as the track launches to euphoric heights. The vocals transform into euphoric spirals that draw inspiration from Of The Trees’ production style. An innovative creative decision that really adds to the song’s flow and complexity. The production style is extremely well-layered with new sound elements to discover over multiple listens. Heavenly strings take the listener to another galaxy before gracefully sending them back to earth. The shuffling breakbeat pairs nicely with the increasing tempo and the extra melodic vocals. “Take Me” briefly fades out, returning with another launch into euphoria. This gorgeous soundscape leads into an uptempo bridge worthy of fist pumping in the club. This bridge expands out, showing the track’s full spectrum of sound before closing out.
This is one of the best introductions to a producer that I have experienced in 2026. I was INSTANTLY hooked by the vocals and melody. The journey from the beginning of the track to the end is majestic and features intricate details in every layer. This song is also set-ready for djs who want something to spin at their next event or festival. The melodies of “Take Me” would fit in perfectly in an Illeniun or Seven Lions set, while pleasantly contrasting with the heavier/wonkier side of the genre. “Take Me” is an incredibly versatile track that sounds better and better with every listen.
