Mersiv Transforms Superheaven’s ‘Youngest Daughter’ Into a Cinematic Bass Experience
Mersiv has released an official remix of Superheaven’s beloved alternative track “Youngest Daughter,” turning the grunge anthem into a cinematic bass music experience.
Rather than stripping away what made the original special, Mersiv amplifies it. Those aching vocals and the emotional weight remain fully intact, now framed by immersive low-ends, and distorted layers. Mersiv did a great job at retaining the nostalgia and balancing the grit of early 2000’s alternative sound design with modern sound.
For Mersiv, whose early influences include bands like Tool and Seether, this remix is a natural collision of worlds for him. “This is my favorite Superheaven song,” he shares. “I decided to remix it during the summer of 2025 while I was at the beach writing music.”
The release arrives during a major stretch for the Mersiv project. He recently announced MorFlow Fest, a new one-day music and flow arts festival taking place September 12 at BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida. He also continues his run of Red Rocks headline performances with Mersiv Rocks 444: Terraform, marking his fourth consecutive year at the iconic venue.
Across releases, festivals, and large-scale events, Mersiv continues building a world where sound, storytelling, and human connection operate together. The “Youngest Daughter” remix is out now on all platforms.
