YetepGrammy-Nominated producer Richard “Remedy” Duran focused his talents into music production from an early age, and began developing the sound that penetrated the heart of today’s young, amiable rave crowd in late 2013. Raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Miami birth Remedy had a high aptitude for the creative, taking interest in photography, cinematography, graphic design, and music production. While his versatility and skills clearly paint a bright future for this young man, Remedy directed his talent towards music. Brought up listening to the varied cultural styles of his native Cuban heritage, hip hop, rap, and other genres, it was undeniable that music was an extension of his self-expression.
Remedy’s fascination with music quickly grew from a mere hobby into a quest to fulfill a purpose. At 16, Remedy was working with several local artists. This experience allowed him to gain a deep understanding of music development and to expand and sharpen his production skills. Remedy has a broad experience in many genres starting with hop-hop, r&b, and dance. More recently, Remedy has branched out into electronic dance music (EDM), dubstep, and is now focused on electronic trap.
Now a solo producer, Remedy’s heavily focused on the electronic trap genre and creating hits full of fire that drive fans wild. In the last quarter of 2013 Remedy decided to break onto the scene by opening for young “powerhouse” DJ Porter Robinson at Club Cinema in Pompano Beach, Fl blowing the crowd away with his energetic bass inspired tunes. In December of 2013 he was brought onto the “Life In Color” lineup last minute, but to now disappoingment, Remedy absolutely demolished the bass stage where headliner and great friend Diplo and Major Lazer cleaned up just hours later. Amongst his collaborations with electronic trap artists, including Flosstradamus, LOUDPVCK, Heroes X Villains, and ETC! ETC!. He has been developing his own sound with his passion for quality and creativity. Remedy is on a path to make significant inroads into the music industry.
