SG Lewis started his musical career as a resident DJ for Chibuku in Liverpool, a place that gave him his musical education and allowed him to cut his teeth as a DJ. It was there that he fell in love with electronic music, club culture, and mixing records. Fast forward ten years, and that original love for club music remains the fuel that feeds every piece of music he makes.
Now one of the most sought-after producers in music, SG Lewis has collaborated with icons such as Elton John, Clairo, Khalid, Nile Rogers, Victoria Monét, Shygirl, Raye, and The Neptunes/N.E.R.D’s Chad Hugo. His debut album times and its follow-up AudioLust & HigherLove received critical acclaim,
propelling his career streams beyond 2 billion. Behind the scenes, he has produced Dave’s seminal breakout track “100M’s” and co-written “Hallucinate” for Dua Lipa’s record-smashing, GRAMMY-nominated number-one album Future Nostalgia.
His deep connection to club culture led to the creation of Forever Days, his club-centric imprint. Designed as a space to push creative boundaries beyond the sound of his solo artist project, the label has already unveiled collaborations with Chloe Caillet, DJ Seinfeld, and Loods – and thrown day-to-night parties in
London, New York, Ibiza and Tulum. Speaking on Forever Days, SG Lewis explains: “For a long time now, I’ve wanted to create an outlet for the club-focused music I’m constantly making and a platform to champion artists I love—music made strictly for the dance floor, with the sole ambition of creating more of
those euphoric moments.”
On September 5th, SG Lewis will release his highly anticipated third studio album, Anemoia, which explores the nostalgia of places never visited. Featuring standout collaborations with Shygirl, RAHH, TEED, London Grammar, and Oliver Sim, the album captures the dreamlike feeling of longing for places
and moments that exist only in memory. Sam says of the album: “I have always felt connected musically to periods of time gone by – whether it be 70’s New York, 90’s Ibiza or the acid house explosion. Times where music and culture have collided in ways so massive, it left the world changed forever. Like so many
of us, I’ve always dreamt about what it might have been like to live through those times. Anemoia is the aural projection of that dream. The feelings of nostalgia I have for all these different times and places, boiled down into my fantasy soundtrack for a hypothetical dance floor. I want this album to accompany the
moments of today, so that one day people might look back and feel Anemoia about what we experience
right now.”
Alongside the album’s release, SG Lewis will embark on his Anemoia Live Tour across North America, bringing the record’s soundscapes to life on stage – joined by acclaimed producer Sofia Kourtesis as direct support. SG Lewis will also join RÜFÜS DU SOL on their Australian tour, and finish the year with UK dates in Manchester, Bristol and the O2 Academy Brixton in London.
