Originally opened in 1938 as a classic Art Deco motion picture theater, the Arcata Theatre Lounge was restored and reopened in 2009 as a flexible, multi-use performance space and restaurant. Located in Downtown Arcata near Cal Poly Humboldt, the venue replaced traditional fixed seats with tiered viewing platforms, lounge seating, tables, a full kitchen, and a main bar. Equipped with high-definition digital projection and sound rigs, ATL hosts an eclectic calendar of classic movie nights, touring indie and electronic artists, stand-up comedy, drag shows, and community events.
In-Theater Dining & Bar: Offers full table food service, craft beers, cocktails, and classic movie concessions throughout film screenings and performances.
Mixed Seating Layouts: Depending on the show, the floor configuration shifts between standing-room concert setups, cabaret-style dining tables, and theater seating.
Metered street parking is available along G Street and 10th Street, alongside nearby public municipal parking lots surrounding the Arcata Plaza.
Bus: Accessible via Humboldt Transit Authority (HTA) and Arcata Redwood Transit System (ARTS) lines stopping within short walking distance near the Arcata Plaza.
