Located in Downtown Tucson directly across from the Children’s Museum Tucson, Armory Park is a historic 4-acre urban green space and recreation center. Originating on a portion of the 19th-century Camp Lowell military grounds, the park features mature shade trees, war memorials, open lawns, and the Armory Park Recreation & Senior Center. It serves as a major hub for community festivals, food truck rallies, charity runs, bike swaps, and cultural parades, as well as indoor fitness classes, social events, and live music dances.
Dual-Use Venue: Operates both as a free, open-access public city park and as a City of Tucson indoor recreation facility.
Festival Staging: Outdoor events often feature temporary stages, food truck setups, vendor booths, and hydration stations across the main lawn.
Metered street parking surrounds the park perimeter along 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue, and 12th Street. Additional public parking structures (such as the Centro Garage or Depot Plaza Garage) are located within short walking distance throughout Downtown Tucson.
