Opened on New Year’s Eve in 2019 by Riot Hospitality Group, El Hefe Tempe was an energetic, modern Mexican cantina and late-night party bar. Situated in the center of the bustling Mill Avenue district, the venue was famous for its grunge-meets-traditional Mexican aesthetic. By day, it served a scratch menu of gourmet street tacos and its legendary 32 oz. “Beer-Garita”. By night—especially on “Boss Thursdays”—it dimmed the lights and transitioned into a wild, packed nightclub hosting heavy-hitting local and touring DJs.
No private parking lot. Guests utilized paid street meters along Mill Avenue, the adjacent Centerpoint Garage, or public parking lots nearby in downtown Tempe.
