The Rialto Theatre is a 100+ year old (built 1920) historic theatre and independent live music venue in the heart of downtown Tucson, AZ, operated by the Rialto Theatre Foundation (a 501c3 nonprofit), and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally opened as one of Tucson’s first movie theaters showing silent films, it has operated as a concert venue since 1995 following a major restoration. With more than 100,000 fans in attendance and 300+ shows each year, the Rialto and its sister venue 191 Toole are described as ‘jewels in the Tucson music scene.’ It has been voted Best Live Music Venue / Best Place to See a Concert / Best Indoor Venue in Tucson Weekly’s Best of Tucson every year since 2001, and ranks as a Pollstar Top 100 Major Club Venue worldwide, and was named #84 in Consequence of Sound’s 100 Greatest American Music Venues. It hosts a broad range of live music, comedy, drag shows, and occasional film screenings.
The Rialto Theatre does not have its own parking. Street parking in the area is metered Monday-Friday until 5PM and subject to availability. Two parking garages are located within 50 yards of the front entrance; additional garages and food/beverage establishments are mapped via the venue’s dedicated Google Map link on the FAQ page.
Sun Link streetcar runs nearby on Congress Street.
