(formerly Ak-Chin Pavilion, Desert Sky Pavilion, Cricket Pavilion).
Opened on November 9, 1990, with an inaugural performance by Billy Joel, this massive open-air amphitheater is a cornerstone of the southwest music scene. Nestled in West Phoenix, it features a unique design featuring a permanent, covered pavilion roof over reserved seating and a sweeping, terraced general admission lawn behind it. Owned and operated by Live Nation, it hosts some of the music industry’s biggest touring festivals and world-renowned rock, pop, country, and electronic artists every season.
The concert season typically runs from April to October to align with favorable weather.
Cashless Venue: All concession, parking, and merchandise points of sale are 100% cashless.
The desert climate means summer events can be extremely hot; hydration is highly emphasized.
Extensive on-site surface parking is available and typically included in the ticket price for most events. Upgrades such as “Premier Parking” (which grants spots closer to the main gates) and “Easy Out Parking” are available for purchase.
Accessible via Valley Metro Bus routes serving the West Thomas Road and 83rd Avenue corridors, with connections to the wider Phoenix transit system.
Fully ADA compliant. The venue offers designated accessible seating locations (both under the pavilion and on the lawn), accessible parking spaces near the front entrance, and step-free concrete pathways.
