The Van Buren is an 1,800-1,900-capacity concert venue in downtown Phoenix, converted from a 1929 historic Phoenix Motor Company automotive showroom building (designed by Lescher and Mahoney, who also designed the Orpheum Theatre). Opened in August 2017, the venue is owned/operated by Live Nation and hosts nationally touring artists across genres as well as private/corporate events, weddings, and community events. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The 20,000 sq ft venue includes four distinct event spaces: the outdoor Patio, the Lobby, the Showroom (main concert hall), and the Mezzanine (VIP balcony level).
The primary 1,800-capacity indoor hall features historic barrel-vaulted ceilings, high-end concert sound, custom overhead lighting arrays, full-service bar areas, and open general admission floor space facing the main stage.
An open-air patio courtyard directly adjacent to the main hall, featuring a dedicated outdoor bar, lounge seating, independent DJ booth capability, and space for secondary performances.
