After first proving that DJs can count at Ultra Music Festival earlier this year, Laidback Luke‘s “1234” dropped on Beatport earlier this week with a hilarious video that looks fan made.
In the video, very serious looking Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, and Chuckie are seen sitting on a train, exercising, playing on a playground, riding in an elevator, and dancing in a street. They’re joined by Elvis, Bart Simpson, Barack Obama, and Justin Bieber doing the same things. And as if to prove a point, all the DJs who appear in the video–the real Dada Life, Martin Solveig, Laiback Luke, Tiësto, and David Guetta–can count to four in time.
From the press release:
LAIDBACK LUKE’S NEW CREATION – 1234 FT. CHUCKIE & MARTIN SOLVEIG IS OUT SOON!
From the first time aired at Ultra 2012 – straight to your headphones! This over-energizing tune left thousands of you wondering when the releases will follow. Mixmash Records is proud to announce the release date for 1234 is scheduled on the 7th of May. It will be exclusively available on Beatport and 2 weeks later will come out on iTunes as well.
That is probably one of the most rapid releases we ever did on Mixmash Records. And of course we did it so you can enjoy this massive beat over the upcoming summer festival season! Laidback Luke never stops to surprise us with his endless power to tour around the world almost on a daily basis. Soon after his Speak Up US bus tour is going to a glorious finish line, he already has a new heavyweight anthem to knock everyone down. His latest massive production 1234 with Chuckie and Martin Solveig on vocals has all the chances to blow up charts and dance grounds in no time!
As Luke says, “…To me 1234 is the epic-ness of the epic tracks, but I wasn’t even ready for such a huge success of this tune in such a short time”. As for the inspiration, Luke tell us that a little kid saying 1234 in one of his samplepacks made Luke think of having some fun and asking his fellows, Chuckie and Martin to do the vocals in the similar chant style. And that made it complete: track is not even about dancing but jumping non-stop to it! Get ready for the ground to shake and for your own safety, make sure you don’t stand close to the speakers! =)
The pumping beats and heavy electro lines of 1234 already charmed the likes of David Guetta, Tiesto, Dada Life.
Stay tuned for more information and visuals on this destroyer!
